Terms of service

What Veriti does

Veriti finds royalties your music has earned but never collected, and, only with your explicit authorization, registers your musical works with collection societies, starting with mechanical royalties through The MLC in the United States, so those royalties can be collected and paid out to you.

Your authorization to Veriti

When you ask us to register works, you grant Veriti a non-exclusive, limited, revocable authorization to act on your behalf for those works: to register them and their metadata with the relevant collection societies, to maintain and correct those registrations, to use accounts Veriti holds with such societies for this purpose, and to collect the royalties those registrations generate so we can pay them out to you.

What this never means: you keep 100% ownership of your works. We take no copyright, no publishing share, and no control over your music. Your writer's share of performance royalties from your PRO continues to flow directly to you, untouched. The authorization is non-exclusive, so you can keep working with anyone else, and you can revoke it at any time. Registrations already filed with a society remain on record with that society.

Your side of the agreement

You confirm that the information you give us is accurate, and that you actually own or control the share of the works you ask us to register. Registering works you don't have rights to misdirects other people's money and is the one thing that can get your account closed. You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms for you.

Fees

Any fee is presented to you clearly before you commit to a service. There are no hidden costs and nothing is charged without your explicit agreement.

Honest expectations

Estimates shown before registration are estimates, not promises. What a registration actually earns is decided by how your music is used and by the societies' own matching and payment processes, which we don't control. We also depend on third parties (societies, catalog data providers, hosting) and can't guarantee they are always available or correct.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Veriti and delete your account whenever you want, and revoking your authorization stops all future activity on your behalf. Royalties already collected for you will still be paid out to you.

The legal frame

Veriti provides the service with reasonable skill and care, but our liability is limited to what mandatory law does not allow us to limit. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll notify you by email before the change applies to you.
